The Role

We are hiring a VP of People to lead our people function and help [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] scale with clarity, cohesion, and care. You will build resilient systems to support a larger, more complex organisation while protecting the agility, empathy, and distinct culture that makes [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] a special place to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Strategy & Execution: Translate [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s company strategy into a comprehensive people strategy.
  • Talent Acquisition Engine: Build a best-in-class talent acquisition function with a repeatable playbook for scalable, data-driven hiring.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance: Ensure robust HR infrastructure, systems, and policies, maintaining compliance with UK employment law and healthcare regulations (CQC/MHRA/GPhC).
  • Performance Culture: Evolve performance philosophy to drive high performance while ensuring fairness.
  • Total Reward: Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits strategy, including executive compensation planning for the Board's RemCo.
  • Learning & Development: Build L&D programmes for career pathways and leadership capabilities.

Who You Are

  • Strategic, data-driven people leader balancing empathy with commercial reality.
  • 8-10+ years in progressive People/HR leadership in high-growth, product-led, or operationally complex business.
  • Track record of scaling organisations from 500 to 1,000+ employees.
  • In-depth understanding of P&L and ability to articulate ROI of people initiatives.
  • Analytical mindset using people analytics to drive decision-making.
  • High emotional intelligence, leading with authenticity, transparency, and kindness.
  • Strong command of UK employment law and depth across the people toolkit.
