Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership of Staff: Support, guide, and motivate department teachers; manage professional development.
  • Effective Strategic Thinking: Evaluate teaching practices, courses, and resources to improve learning.
  • Resource Management: Optimize human and physical resources.
  • Marketing & PR: Promote the department's achievements internally and externally.
  • Contributing to Whole School Life: Engage in extra-curricular activities and school events.

Person Specification

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Experienced teacher with proven track record of success.
  • Well-qualified graduate with an Economics degree.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and dynamic teaching skills.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and ICT skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
  • Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
