Machine Loader

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Machine Loader in Beverley. Permanent position at £13.00 per hour with rotational shifts.

  • Salary: £13.00 per hour
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday 05:00–14:00 & 13:45–22:45 (rotational)

Responsibilities

  • Start machine by engaging controls.
  • Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or product leaking.
  • Regulate machine flow, speed, and temperature.
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
  • Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies.
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, report to supervisor.
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity.
  • Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments to machinery.
  • Supply materials to spindles, conveyors, hoppers, and unload packaged product.
  • Attach identification labels and stencil information on containers.
  • Stack finished packaged items ready for dispatch.
  • Count and record finished and rejected items.
  • Clean packaging containers, line and general area.
  • Secure finished items in boxes on pallets.
  • Remove finished items from machine and separate rejected items.
