Multi Skilled Engineer

Location: LN6, Lincoln | Salary: £45,000 per year | Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (6:00am – 6:00pm) | Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support the delivery of an effective maintenance programme, ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned, predictive, and condition-based maintenance across all production equipment
  • Provide a rapid and effective response to production breakdowns
  • Support business objectives and achieve site KPIs
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency
  • Assist with engineering projects, installations, and improvement activities
  • Ensure effective use of engineering stores and control of costs
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and safety
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, downtime, and incidents
  • Support the management of contractors on site
  • Assist in maintaining site services and technical documentation
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
  • Conduct pre-start safety checks on machinery and work areas
  • Support risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Promote a strong safety culture, challenging unsafe behaviours where necessary
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, ethical, and energy policies
  • Contribute to a workplace culture focused on safety, sustainability, and wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

  • Apprentice-trained or relevant engineering qualifications
  • Electrical and mechanical experience (multi-skilled)
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Computer literate
