Location: Belfast, BT19 | Temporary | £14.00 - £17.00 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking experienced and passionate chefs to join our network and contribute to the well-being of those in need.

Care Home- Agency Chef

Rates- £14-£17 Midweek/ £15-£20 Weekend

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare a varied menu that meets the nutritional needs of residents and patients.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
  • Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Cater for specific dietary requirements, including allergies and special diets.
  • Work within a budget while maintaining high standards of food quality.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training and scheduling.
  • Order and manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Engage with residents and patients to receive feedback and make improvements to the menu

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Chef, preferably within a care home, respite, or rehabilitation setting.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safety standards.
  • Experience in menu planning and catering for special dietary requirements.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with elderly residents and patients.
