Role Description
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are looking for a Business Development Manager in the UK. Our client delivers engineering and advisory services across renewable generation, storage, and electricity networks globally. They support projects across the full lifecycle, from early development through design, construction and operations. We are seeking a Renewables/BESS Portfolio Manager to support growth across the UK and Ireland. This is a commercially focused, client-facing role suited to a technically qualified engineer with strong business development capability. You will be responsible for growing the renewables and storage portfolio, winning work, and building long-term client relationships. The role requires strong leadership, market knowledge of UK and Ireland renewables and BESS, and the ability to engage effectively with developers, investors, contractors, and lenders.
Services Involved
Work will include a mix of advisory and technical services such as:
- Owner’s engineering and construction support
- Due diligence and technical advisory
- FEED and concept design
- Feasibility studies
You will join a multidisciplinary energy team delivering a wide range of renewable and storage projects in the UK, Ireland, and internationally.
Candidate Specification
Essential
- Existing network within UK and Ireland renewable/BESS developers
- Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical, civil, industrial or similar)
- Strong commercial mindset with business development experience
- Client-facing experience with a track record of winning work
- Good understanding of UK and Ireland renewable and storage markets
- Leadership or team management experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts simply
- Experience in consultancy or technical advisory environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Problem-solving, initiative, and adaptable working style
Desirable
- Project management experience
- Wind or solar project experience (Owner’s Engineer or Technical Advisor preferred)
- Report writing and client presentation experience

The project is due to start on 1st June 2026 and will last approx. 2 weeks.
