Role Summary
The Senior Philanthropy Manager will lead [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s high value giving strategy during an exciting phase of growth. You will manage a portfolio of major donors, develop compelling philanthropic products, and deepen [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s influence within high-value networks. You will line manage the Events & Philanthropy Manager and work closely with trustees and senior leaders.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the Philanthropy Strategy to achieve annual income targets.
- Develop annual budgets, KPIs, and performance frameworks.
- Provide accurate income forecasting and scenario planning.
- Own and manage a personal portfolio of major donors (c. £500k–£1m p.a.).
- Maintain oversight of the philanthropy pipeline.
- Deliver tailored stewardship plans.
- Line manage the Events & Philanthropy Manager.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and fundraising regulations.
- Champion the use of HubSpot for pipeline management.
About You – Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering against philanthropy budgets of at least £500k p.a. and personally securing six-figure gifts.
- Demonstrable success in building and managing major donor pipelines.
- Experience developing strategic and operational fundraising plans.
- Strong relationship building with senior stakeholders and high-net-worth individuals.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and project management capabilities.
- Ability to motivate and develop colleagues (line management or coaching experience).
