Job Details

  • Support the Head of BPA Operations with the successful transition of Bulk Purchase Annuity business.
  • Perform analysis of defined benefit datasets and benefit specification and report on accuracy, integrity and completeness of data from both pricing and administration perspectives.
  • Perform reconciliation and analysis of updated/cleansed data sets received from ceding pension scheme administrators to ensure that our future policyholders will receive their correct benefit entitlement.
  • Create calculation spreadsheets for revaluation, pension increases, pension payroll including taking account of GMP equalisation for reconciliations against data sets and system set up for schemes.
  • Analyse, reconcile and record data changes for movement and cleansed data and keep a full audit trail of all benefit and data items throughout the lifecycle of the onboarding process.
  • Test and reconcile parallel payroll, pension increase runs and benefit calculation automation.
  • Monitor the quality of data and when errors are identified, take steps to rectify and prevent/minimise error repetition.
  • Support knowledge sharing across the team and the development of others as appropriate.
  • Comply with standards relating to the provision of technical advice and or documentation, operating within legal, regulatory and company standards.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Comply with the FCA’s conduct (and senior conduct) and Consumer Duty rules and the PRA’s conduct (and senior manager conduct) standards as set out.
  • Notify the regulator(s) of matters reasonably expected to be notified.

  • A detailed understanding of pension administration processes.
  • Hands on experience of performing and checking defined benefit calculations.
