Job Description

A warm and welcoming family based in NW2 is seeking an experienced, caring, and proactive live-in nanny for a temporary summer role. The position will focus on caring for their 3-year-old daughter while the mother looks after a newborn. This is a lovely opportunity for a nanny who enjoys working with toddlers and supporting a family during the early newborn stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Childcare (Primary focus: 3-year-old): Provide attentive and nurturing care in a safe and stimulating environment. Plan and organise engaging, age-appropriate activities at home. Take the child out to parks, museums, and local outings. Arrange playdates and social activities. Manage daily routines including bath time and dressing. Prepare and provide healthy meals during the day.
  • Household Support: Assist with light household duties related to the children (e.g. tidying toys, keeping play areas organised).
  • Support with Newborn (as needed): Offer occasional assistance, such as monitoring the baby while the mother steps away. Provide flexible, ad hoc support to the mother when required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a nanny or in a similar childcare role
  • Strong experience with toddlers; newborn experience advantageous
  • Warm, calm, and nurturing approach
  • Proactive, organised, and able to use initiative
  • Trustworthy and reliable

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, approximately 8-10 hours per day. Typical start time between 7:00am/8:00am-5:00/6:00pm. Some flexibility appreciated.

Accommodation & Living Arrangements

Private bedroom with own bathroom provided. Live-in role within a friendly family home.

Salary & Benefits

£700–£750 gross per week (dependent on experience).
