Qualified Nursery Practitioner

Nursery Practitioner – Blackheath (SE3) – Full time 40 hours - £28,000 DOE – ASAP start

This is a unique and forward-thinking nursery with a strong focus on music and creative development at its core. The setting is passionate about providing children with early exposure to music, recognising its significant impact on intellectual, emotional, and social development. In addition to its creative approach, the nursery also offers a full-time Forest School, encouraging outdoor learning and exploration, helping children develop independence and a strong connection with nature. The setting caters for children aged 3 months to 5 years across multiple sites and provides a vibrant, engaging environment where children can thrive. They are currently seeking a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their team, someone who is passionate about early years development and keen to be part of a creative and dynamic setting.

What we need from you

  • Level 2+ qualification in childcare or higher
  • Commitment
  • Passion to deliver outstanding childcare
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Broad knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding

Your duties will include

  • Taking charge of a key group of children
  • Deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps young children to develop
  • Plan and provide effective care, teaching and learning.
  • Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
  • Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children
  • Make accurate and effective use of assessment reflecting the needs, interests and stages of development of the individual children.
