Job Description

  • This setting based in Wantage are looking to hire a Nursery Practitioner.
  • Full time 40 hours per week or could consider part time if you would like to do less days.
  • Salary up to £28,000 gross per annum depending on experience and qualification.
  • Qualified staff would have an opportunity to earn a monthly bonus alongside their pay.
  • 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays which increases with years of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that you understand your role in safeguarding children and how to recognise, report and record any concerns.
  • Ensure that all children in your care are safe and avoid preventable accidents through constant supervision and observation both indoors and out.
  • Support, encourage, and care for all children's personal needs. Including hand washing, nappy changing, nose wiping, toilet training, feeding, and promoting independence.
  • Contribute to planning using the EYFS to cover all areas of learning both indoors and out. Including planning activities around gaps in your key children's profiles to achieve effective moderation.
  • Work in partnership with parents as a key-person, ensuring they are fully informed about the nursery and their child. Give feedback to parents daily on achievements, difficulties, interests and interactions with others.
