Job Description

Nursery Practitioner – Sittingbourne (ME9) – Full time 45 hours – Up to £13.50 per hour – ASAP start.

This is a well-established nursery with over 30 years of experience, offering a warm, homely environment within a spacious converted house. The setting caters for children from babies through to early years, providing a nurturing and supportive space for development. With access to nearby woodland, the nursery places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, regularly taking children on walks to explore nature, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and hands-on learning through play. They are currently seeking a Nursery Practitioner who is looking to grow within the setting, with the opportunity to progress into a Room Leader position over time, who must be a driver due to location.

What we need from you:

  • Level 3+ qualification in childcare or higher
  • Commitment
  • Passion to deliver outstanding childcare
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Broad knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding
  • 2 years nursery experience

Your duties will include:

  • Taking charge of a key group of children
  • Deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps young children to develop
  • Plan and provide effective care, teaching and learning
  • Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
  • Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children
  • Make accurate and effective use of assessment reflecting the needs, interests and stages of development of the individual children.
