FULL DESCRIPTION

Nursery Deputy Manager

A nursery in Aylesbury are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team! Hours: Full Time. Salary: £31,500 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the overall management of the nursery to ensure high-quality childcare for children and families
  • Deputise for the Nursery Manager and take full responsibility in their absence
  • Support staff management, supervision, training, and performance
  • Assist with setting and monitoring nursery goals, targets, and occupancy levels
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, Health & Safety, and company policies
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents and deliver excellent customer service
  • Support financial administration, occupancy, and fee collection
  • Contribute to Ofsted readiness and continuous improvement
  • Assist with recruitment, inductions, appraisals, and staff development
  • Stay up to date with childcare legislation and best practice

Requirements

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Previous leadership or management experience in an early years setting
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Health & Safety
  • Confident leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Professional, proactive, and team-focused approach
