Job Description

About the Nursery
A well-established, high-quality day nursery in Ealing providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating “home-from-home” environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The setting follows the EYFS framework, with a strong focus on play-based learning, independence, and school readiness.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality childcare and early years education, ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Support children’s learning across all 7 areas of development
  • Observe, assess, and track children’s progress
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
  • Provide high standards of care including feeding, hygiene, and sleep routines
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Maintain accurate records, including learning journals
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Previous nursery or early years experience (preferred)
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
