[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are looking to hire a Proposals Engineer on a full time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the Proposals Engineer's primary role is to review RFQ’s issued and work alongside the Business Development/ Commercial & Project Teams to develop bid-winning proposals and solutions for clients.

Working within the ‘Internal sales function’ this role is responsible for the timely preparation of quotations to support sales enquiries. This will involve liaison with the sales, technical and engineering functions to agree the technical solution and the undertaking of all activities associated with the supplier interface to enable the production of supporting documentation including costings through to compilation of the final quotation and management review.

Location is flexible, ideally located close to one of our facilities in the UK, UAE or Singapore.

Duties

  • Support the commercial team with RFQ review and quotation preparation, and as required take lead in coordinating all elements of proposal development through to General Manager presentation & approval.
  • Review technical content for low complexity scopes from client tender package documentation and support the creation of the solution.
  • Present technical/operational/financial risks to Commercial team and General/Site Manager in a timely manner during bid review.
  • If required, liaise with clients and ensure professional and astute tender clarifications are being prepared and submitted.
  • Ensure a robust tender kick off meeting is conducting as per process and all stakeholders are clear on actions and deliverables.
  • Coordinate all relevant departments throughout tender process to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Liaise with the supply chain function in ensuring [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is benefitting from the most cost-effective commercial deals available in the market from our vendors.
  • Timely and accurate response to enquiries, and submission of Customer quotations and proposals.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Manager to ensure all clients requirements are articulate in the proposal.
  • Maintain proposals trackers and commercial/contracts registers.
  • Conduct robust handovers to the projects team for awarded opportunities.
  • Work in full compliance with the tender process and contribute to continuous improvement of the systems used and processes.
  • Support the maintenance of a proficient document control system ensuring documentation relating to the Customer enquiry/order is properly registered, circulated, controlled and easily accessible.
  • Ensure NDA’s are in place where required and compliant with group format.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a Commercial or Sales Delivery Role
