Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s Moorings and Anchors business line, provides project and operational management expertise to customers across the mooring lifecycle. We are seeking a Business Development Manager with deep expertise in mooring systems to drive growth across offshore and marine markets. This role bridges engineering, commercial strategy, and customer engagement, identifying opportunities, shaping technical solutions, and converting them into profitable projects.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities for mooring systems across offshore energy, floating structures, marine infrastructure, and emerging sectors (e.g., floating wind, wave energy).
  • Develop and execute market entry and growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities from early concept through contract award.
  • Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer needs assessments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in offshore or marine industries, with significant exposure to mooring systems.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales engineering, or technical commercial roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mooring system design and analysis (catenary, taut, semi-taut), mooring components (chains, wire, synthetic ropes, anchors) and relevant codes and standards (e.g., DNV, API, ISO).
  • Experience supporting proposals, tenders, and commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
