The Opportunity

At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we've built a dedicated Data Operations team in Belfast to enhance our data processing capabilities. You'll be part of a highly skilled team focused on ensuring high-quality, lightning-fast data is delivered to our platform, enabling our clients to act with speed and confidence. You'll work closely with teams in New York, London, and Belfast focused on Distressed Debt.

What You’ll Work On

  • Extract and process distressed debt and bankruptcy filings from US courts, regulatory bodies, and financial databases, ensuring accurate and timely entry into [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s proprietary database
  • Review, classify, and structure large volumes of legal and financial documents including Chapter 11 filings, restructuring plans, and court dockets
  • Maintain data integrity across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s distressed debt coverage universe, flagging inconsistencies and working with the editorial and product teams to resolve them
  • Build and maintain structured records of debtor entities, creditor hierarchies, and case timelines across active bankruptcy proceedings
  • Collaborate with the distressed content and technology teams to identify opportunities to improve data extraction workflows and tooling
  • Support ad hoc data requests from journalists, analysts, and client-facing teams requiring deep dives into specific case files or issuer histories

About You

  • Have strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to working through large volumes of structured and unstructured data
  • Are comfortable working with legal and financial documents — prior exposure to bankruptcy filings, court dockets, or credit agreements is a plus
  • Have experience in a data entry, data operations, or research role, ideally within financial services, legal, or media
  • Are proficient in spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets) and comfortable learning new data management systems
  • Can work independently and manage your own workload against deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Are based in or able to commute to Belfast
