Business Development Manager

We are seeking an ambitious, commercially driven Business Development Manager to expand our client base across Scotland. This is a pure hunter role targeting £750,000–£1 million in new business in hospitality and healthcare. Year 1 focus on pipeline development. The role includes a company vehicle, health insurance, and a base salary of £45,000–£50,000 with upside to £60,000 via commission.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and win new business across priority sectors.
- Deliver a strategic sales plan aligned to ALS’s 2026 growth objectives.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline, maintaining a high conversion rate.
- Generate leads via cold outreach, networking, trade shows, and market research.
- Carry out client site visits and deliver persuasive, value-led presentations.
- Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring smooth handover to account management.
Requirements
- 3–5 years proven B2B field sales experience with consistent target achievement.
- Strong consultative selling capability with confident deal closure.
- Experience in hospitality, healthcare, care homes, or facilities management (highly advantageous).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
