FULL DESCRIPTION

Recycling Operatives Wanted

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting Recycling Operatives to join a recycling team in Tor Quarry. This is a hands-on role involving outdoor work in all weather conditions, sorting recyclable materials, and supporting general site operations.

  • Location: Kingsbridge, Devon
  • Pay Rate: £12.85 per hour
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Start Date: 15th May 2026, 7:00am
  • Own transport required.

Key Duties

  • Correctly sort different recyclable materials.
  • Hand-pick or machine-sort materials (paper, plastic, metal, glass) on conveyor belts, removing contaminants.
  • Load and unload recycling vehicles and record waste weights.
  • Inspect materials for contamination, identify hazardous items, and report issues.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Must have own transport to access the site.
  • Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods.
  • Basic numeracy skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good attention to detail when identifying materials and contaminants.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in dusty or noisy environments.

What We Offer
