1:1 Upper School Teaching Assistant (August start)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support an upper school student at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] starting in August. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a young person’s educational journey.

  • Start Date: Mid August 2026
  • Contract: Full-time, term time only
  • Location: Egham, TW20 0HS
  • Salary: Fixed rate

Role Overview

You will work closely with a student on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored academic and pastoral support throughout the school day. The role requires patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support in lessons across the curriculum
  • Assist with maintaining focus, engagement, and organisation
  • Adapt learning materials to suit the student’s needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents
  • Support the student’s social and emotional development

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with secondary/upper school-aged students
  • Understanding of additional learning needs (SEN experience desirable)
  • Calm, positive, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Lives in the UK/is a UK resident as visa sponsorship is not possible.
