On Site Sampler

WHAT IS ON OFFER

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] has an exciting opportunity for an On Site Sampler to join our team in Selby, UK. You will work as part of the Drax Sample & Sample Preparation Team, undertaking sampling and sample preparation duties in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] methods and procedures. You will be responsible for conducting laboratory based physical testing of wood pellets for particle size, bulk density and mechanical durability and will collect samples from customer sites/ports and deliver the samples to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] preparation facilities.

Shift Pattern: 12 hour shift system basis, working a mix of days and nights.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Required Competencies

  • Excellent communication, administrative and IT skills.
  • Highly organised with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly inform others.
  • Strong relationship building skills internally and externally.
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities.

Required Work Experience

  • Experience of working in sampling and sample preparation.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Clean UK Driving Licence

Desirable Qualifications

  • IOSH Managing Safely Course
  • Safety Passport

Travel

  • Travel may be required to work between various [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] locations to support the business needs to fulfil the Drax contract.
  • If required work in other locations with overnight stays where necessary.
