[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Assistant to join their Estates team. This role is based at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, United Kingdom. Salary: £28,408 per annum. Permanent contract. Closing date: 12 May, 2026.

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and practical Multi Skilled Engineering Assistant to join our Estates team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Solutions.

In this hands-on role, you’ll support the delivery of mechanical and electrical maintenance, statutory compliance, and building fabric works across hospital sites. You’ll play a key part in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient healthcare environments, helping to ensure continuity of patient care every day.

You’ll work under the guidance of our Building Engineer Specialist and Multi-Skilled Engineer's, assisting with a variety of maintenance and compliance tasks including:

  • Fire door inspections and remedial works
  • Emergency lighting maintenance
  • Air handling unit servicing (critical and non-critical)
  • Water safety systems, including thermostatic mixing valves and taps

Training will be provided where required to help you develop your skills and technical confidence.

This role involves shift work on a rotating basis, covering 8:00am–4:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm shifts.

About You

  • A basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Awareness of asbestos, legionella, and COSHH procedures
  • A can-do attitude, with the ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing demands
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills through ongoing training

A qualification in a mechanical, electrical, or building fabric discipline is desirable, but not essential.

You’ll also need a full UK driving licence and the ability to travel between sites within the Trust’s estate.
