We are looking for a Senior Pricing Actuary – Mid-Corp Long-Tail Lines, based in Munich or London.

Your Team

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Head of Pricing MidCorp Long-Tail Lines, you will join the Global Pricing MidCorp team to support the development and implementation of advanced pricing capabilities for MidCorporate Liability and Financial Lines. You will play a key role in shaping global pricing standards, supporting operating entities, and embedding technical pricing solutions that enhance underwriting quality, governance, and long-term portfolio performance.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Establishing and developing a global Pricing Center of Competence for MidCorp Financial Lines, setting best-practice standards and supporting [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] operating entities.
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Technical Price system, including analysis, testing, and monitoring.
  • Developing and calibrating MidCorporate pricing and costing tools within an agile software development environment.
  • Supporting global rollout, maintenance, and parameter updates of pricing tools across regions.
  • Conducting technical pricing analyses, scenario testing, and impact assessments using complex multinational datasets.
  • Delivering and enhancing pricing governance activities, including Functional Pricing Reviews, MidCorp Deep Dives, and Technical Price Certification.
  • Acting as a technical adviser and sparring partner for underwriters, pricing teams, and stakeholders globally.
  • Managing and contributing to pricing projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting knowledge transfer, training, and capability uplift across global pricing communities.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable discipline, with full actuarial qualification.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in technical pricing within P&C insurance, ideally with exposure to Financial Lines.
  • Strong expertise in developing, calibrating, and implementing pricing and costing tools.
  • Advanced quantitative modelling and data analysis skills using Python, R, SAS, VBA, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience working with complex, multinational data landscapes and diverse regulatory environments.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders in an international setting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
  • A proactive, organised, and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, changing environments.
  • The ability to ensure ethical AI practices and stay updated with emerging AI technologies will be key to maintaining a competitive advantage.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate and negotiate confidently.
