Description
This role is intended for an experienced IT Architect who is transitioning into an Enterprise Architecture role. The Associate EA applies architecture principles, standards, and documentation practices to reduce complexity and risk, and to ensure consistent, compliant, and future-oriented IT solutions in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group IT Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business and IT stakeholders in analysing and documenting current-state architectures in accordance with Architecture guidelines and standards.
- Maintain and enhance a comprehensive, end-to-end view of the IT ecosystem, covering business, applications, data, infrastructure, and related dependencies.
- Define, implement, and maintain mandatory architecture documentation throughout the lifecycle of IT services and solutions, ensuring compliance with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] standards.
- Coordinate and support architecture governance and review processes, including preparation of architecture assessments and identification of deviations or risks.
- Perform gap analysis between current and target architectures and recommend improvements to bridge identified gaps.
- Translate [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group IT Strategy and architectural principles into practical guidelines, patterns, and best practices for implementation teams.
- Actively collaborate with the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Technology Architecture Community, contributing to knowledge sharing and adoption of reusable architectural solutions.
- Monitor and assess emerging technologies, architecture standards, and industry trends to ensure relevance and alignment with the enterprise architecture landscape.
Professional Experience
- 12+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 2+ years in an architecture-related role (e.g. Solution, Application, Infrastructure, Data, or Security Architecture).
- Experience working in large-scale or enterprise IT environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic AI tools is considered an advantage.
Architecture & Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture domains, including: Business Architecture, Application Architecture, Data Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Security Architecture
- Experience with architecture modeling and documentation tools, such as ADoIT, ArchiMate, or comparable tools.
- Understanding of architecture governance, standards, and risk management practices.
Personal Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex and incomplete information.
- Excellent communication, moderation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results in a structured and reliable manner.
- High awareness of rapidly evolving technologies and architecture standards, with a proactive learning mindset
Education
University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable field, or equivalent professional experience
