As a Claims Handler at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you'll play a key role in delivering on our promise to customers by investigating, negotiating, and settling claims within agreed authority levels. This role is based in either Birmingham or Milton Keynes and offers hybrid working.
About You
- Register and validate new claims promptly
- Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims within your authority level
- Manage a varied caseload including potential fraudulent claims
- Liaise with underwriters, suppliers, solicitors, and loss adjusters
- Maintain accurate reserves and process payments
- Handle internal tasks such as diaries, inactivity, cheques, and recoveries
- Ensure compliance with referral processes
- Contribute to team development
- Identify opportunities to improve processes
Essential Skills
- Personal injury / credit hire experience
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good understanding of telephony-based customer service environments
Desirable Skills
- Previous insurance or claims handling experience
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage
