Senior Key Account Manager

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an experienced Senior Key Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of existing strategic partners. This role is focused on retention, profitable growth, and long‑term relationship development, acting as the primary point of contact for partners and a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with assigned partners
  • Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring partner needs are addressed promptly and professionally
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to partner goals and commercial targets
  • Identify and drive opportunities for revenue growth, upselling and cross‑selling
  • Negotiate contract terms and manage renewals to maximise retention and profitability
  • Monitor account performance, analyse data and prepare insights to inform strategy
  • Lead regular account reviews with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product and operational teams to deliver a cohesive customer experience
  • Resolve issues and conflicts proactively, ensuring positive outcomes for all parties
  • Share partner feedback to support service and product improvements

  • Demonstrated ability to use or adapt to AI‑enabled tools (e.g. CRM automation, data insights, forecasting, customer analytics, workflow optimisation)
  • Strong data literacy, with the ability to interpret insights generated by digital or AI‑driven platforms and apply them to account strategy and decision making
  • Openness to continuous learning as AI and digital capabilities evolve
  • Ability to use AI responsibly to improve efficiency, customer engagement, reporting quality, and commercial outcomes
  • Comfort working in an environment where technology and AI support smarter, faster, and more personalised partner interactions

Technical development or coding experience is not required; practical adoption and value creation are key.

About You

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5–7 years’ experience in account management, key account management, or partner relationship roles
  • Proven experience growing and retaining client or partner accounts

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commercial acumen with experience driving revenue growth within existing accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven negotiation experience, particularly in contract and renewal discussions
  • Ability to analyse account data and performance metrics to inform strategy
  • High level of customer focus with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
  • Experience using CRM systems and customer data to manage accounts effectively
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
  • Collaborative approach to working with cross‑functional teams
  • Adaptability to changing client needs, priorities, and market conditions
