Engineer Surveyor

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring an Engineer Surveyor to conduct hands-on inspections at client sites. This is a full-time, remote role with a starting salary of £45,539 per annum plus company car.

Role Description

Progress your engineering career in one of the key roles within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Engineering, Construction, & Power. As an Engineer Surveyor, you’ll be at the heart of our operations conducting inspections and evaluating a diverse range of plant and equipment at client sites. From day one, you’ll be enrolled in our industry-leading induction programme.

  • Carry out hands-on inspections of plant and equipment in locations such as factories, warehouses, and commercial premises.
  • Work closely with your Engineer Surveyor Team managed by one of our Senior Operations Team Leaders.
  • Prepare reports of examination using electronic reporting to ensure fast and efficient delivery to clients.
  • Assess installations, anticipate problems, and help clients ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Examine equipment including pressure vessels and boilers.

Salary Information

Starting salary: £45,539 per annum + Company car. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills, and location.

About You

  • Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules for Pressure Mechanical discipline.
  • Making well-informed decisions, willing to take responsibility.
  • Effective at short, medium, and long-term planning.
  • Able to travel within local allocated work area.
  • Processing documentation and general administration.
  • Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors.

Essential Skills

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Background with steam generation, compressed air, and associated plant (manufacturing, maintenance, inspection).
  • Strong customer interaction skills, good oral and written communication.
  • Full valid UK driving licence.
  • Time management skills for independent organisation of weekly work.
  • Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as working tools.
