Data Modeler
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Data Modeler. This is a Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid role at Mid-Senior level.
Role Overview
The Data Modeler plays a key role within the Data and AI Transformation Engineering team, responsible for designing, maintaining, and evolving high‑quality data models that support analytics, reporting, and data product development across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. Working closely with Data Engineers, Analytics teams, and business stakeholders, the Data Modeler ensures that data structures are scalable, performant, and compliant with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] data governance and security standards.
What You Do
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business requirements and enterprise data architecture principles.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data models reflect business processes and objectives.
- Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability, balancing technical and business needs.
- Ensure data models comply with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] data governance, compliance, and information security standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of data models to support evolving business requirements and technology changes.
- Build and support processes related to data transformation, metadata management, dependency management and workload orchestration.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data modeling, preferably within insurance or banking environments; 4+ years with data warehousing, ETL and data product development; 3+ years hands-on with Data Vault, Kimball/Star Schema, 3NF.
- Advanced knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling (certifications a plus).
- Strong expertise in SQL, including complex queries and data profiling.
- Proven ability to understand, document, maintain and refactor complex normalized relational and star-schema data warehouse models.
- Good understanding of modern data architecture concepts (data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses).
- Good level of English required; other languages a plus.
- Interest in IT and (Generative) AI is valued.
