About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Duty Manager to ensure the smooth running of daily operations across our sites. In this role, you will oversee staff performance, manage operational processes, and serve as a crucial link between site teams and senior management. Your contribution is key to maintaining high standards, regulatory compliance, and excellent service delivery.

  • Shift Pattern: 19:00 – 07:00 (4 days on / 4 days off rotation, after training)
  • Flexibility: Weekend shifts and additional hours may be required
  • Overtime: Available based on operational needs
  • Pre-Shift: Arrive 10 minutes early for handovers with the outgoing team
  • Reporting To: Operations Manager / Senior Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership – Oversee daily site operations, ensure security, safety, and service standards; lead team briefings; coordinate action plans; maintain smooth communication; ensure control room standards.
  • Team Management – Collaborate with Rostering Manager on schedules; ensure staff compliance with appearance, training, conduct; monitor attendance and performance; support onboarding and training.
  • Disciplinary & Investigations – Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary processes in line with policy; work with HR and senior leadership.
  • Site & Asset Management – Conduct regular site inspections; ensure documentation, risk assessments, uniform standards; perform equipment checks; supervise opening/closing procedures.
  • Vehicle & Equipment Oversight – Ensure company vehicles are clean, refuelled, inspected; manage key control and damage reports.
  • Incident & Alarm Management – Respond to alarm activations within 30 minutes; oversee investigations and documentation.
  • Training & Development – Facilitate role-specific training; support professional development of staff.
  • Financial & Administrative Duties – Manage operations within budget; submit weekly timesheets by 6:00 AM Monday; maintain records.
  • Additional Responsibilities – Support transport coordination; track non-conformances; promote cross-department communication.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Security – 1 year (required); Managerial – 1 year (preferred)
  • Licences/Certifications: SIA Licence (required); CCTV Licence (preferred); Clean UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 12 months (required)
