We are currently recruiting for an experienced full-time Service Engineer.

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for Maintaining the fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Routine Inspection, Testing, and Servicing: The engineer must clean, check, and service all hire equipment (Chillers, Boilers, Dehumidifiers, etc.) upon commissioning and after every hire to ensure it is safe and presentable.
  • Breakdowns and Repairs: Responsible for identifying equipment requiring repair, assessing the viability of those repairs, and completing work to high safety standards.
  • Safety, Quality, and Environment (SHEQ): Must adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, manage hazardous materials (like waste oil) correctly, and report any accidents or “near misses”.
  • Customer Service Standards: Required to communicate professionally with both internal and external customers, building trust through honest service and resolving problems promptly.
  • Asset and Premises Management: Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy workshop, ensuring service vehicles are in good condition, and accounting for all tools and stock.
  • Records and Reports: Must maintain accurate documentation regarding plant servicing, calibration, and repair work carried out.
  • General Support: Expected to attend training, participate in meetings, work outside normal hours when necessary, and travel within the UK (including overnight stays) to support the business.
