Production Operator

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Production Operator on a fixed-term contract at its Pocklington Global Plant (York area). The role involves operating production equipment, filling lines, and forklifts, with a focus on safety and quality. Starting salary £27,942 per annum plus shift premium.

Responsibilities

  • The operation of production plant and equipment, including: semi-automatic bottle filling lines, powder tipping stations or bag and sack filling machinery
  • Following standard operating procedures
  • Adhering to strict health and safety procedures
  • Operating mechanical handling equipment such as counter balance fork lift trucks

The role will have the expectation of cross training within different areas on site and report to the Process Manager. You would be working on a rotating shift pattern or standard days basis as required.

Profile

  • To work in full compliance with all Company and local procedures related to chemical, process and occupational safety
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the work area
  • Required to operate mechanical handling equipment (MHE) - subject to qualification/training - namely counterbalance fork lift trucks and pedestrian pallet trucks (both powered & manual)
  • Good level of safety awareness
  • Able to work rotating shift patterns as and when required
  • Ideal candidates will already have a FLT licence, however training would be provided for any successful candidate that needs one
