[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Maintenance Engineer for a temporary, on-site role in York, UK.

About the Unit

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Pocklington is part of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] International ASA, and is a global leader in the development, manufacture, and marketing of speciality nutrients and biostimulants. Our Pocklington site has been established since 1967. We are building a new global production plant at Howden.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned and preventative maintenance across the site.
  • Respond promptly and safely to equipment breakdowns.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
  • Adhere strictly to Health & Safety policies, including Permit to Work systems.
  • Support plant reliability by contributing to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements.

Profile

We are looking for a proactive, organised Engineer who can work independently. Ideally, you will bring:

  • NVQ Level 3 (min) in mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • IPAF 3B license (desirable).
  • Welding and fabrication skills (advantageous).
  • Experience within a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of relay logic and PLC fault-finding.
  • Experience with fluid-transfer pumps (centrifugal/progressing cavity).
  • Understanding of LOTO, PUWER, and LOLER regulations.
  • COMAH site experience (highly desirable).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • IT literacy, with working knowledge of CMMS systems.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts in line with seasonal demands.
