Founding Sales Lead

This is a first sales hire role, owning the full commercial engine from outreach to contract, with the backing of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. The role requires 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally in health-tech or HR tech, and a hunter mindset. The position is full-time, permanent, hybrid in London.

We've built the largest home healthcare dataset in Europe and used it to reduce hospitalisations by up to 70%, saving the NHS more than £1bn. Now we're backing something new. One of the ventures in our portfolio is building an AI-powered platform that's already transforming how frontline workforces are managed. We have a suite of AI agents that are live, in production, growing 40% month on month with a pipeline of mid-to-enterprise deals. We can't say much more here. You'll own the commercial engine end to end — first outreach to signed contract, positioning to pricing, CRM to forecast — and build the sales function around you. This is a career maker. We're already hiring the next two commercial heads — you'll help pick them and set the standard they work to.
What you'll do
- Split the book with the Venture MD — take on as much as you can land
- Run the full sales cycle: outbound, discovery, pilots, procurement, close
- Build the playbook: messaging, pricing, objection handling, forecasting
- Shape the product with engineering — you're the bridge from customer to dev
- Design pilots that prove ROI, then convert them to contracts
- Lay the foundation for a sales function others will join — then hire them
About You
- 5+ years in B2B SaaS sales, ideally health-tech, HR/recruitment tech, or workforce platforms
- You have successful founding AE experience in a B2B startup, or top revenue maker in a B2B scale-up
- You're a hunter — confident self-sourcing pipeline, not waiting for leads
- You've built from nothing before, not just inherited a book
- Strong on consultative selling, ROI storytelling, and navigating complex procurement
- Comfortable in ambiguity, energised by ownership
- Based in the UK with ability to be in London regularly

- Sold into care providers, staffing or recruitment companies, or complex regulated environments
- Selling AI features or products
- You have been, worked closely with, or sold to recruitment or HR professionals
