IAM Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to assist in managing and securing systems that control access to our organization’s information and resources. This role is based at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] House in Leeds with a hybrid work pattern (minimum 3 days per week on-site).

Key Responsibilities

  • User Account Management: Create, modify, and disable user accounts; implement password policies and multi-factor authentication; maintain accurate access records.
  • Access Control: Grant, modify, or revoke user access based on policies; conduct periodic audits of permissions.
  • Security and Compliance: Collaborate with security teams; assist in audit preparation ensuring IAM processes are followed.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide end-user support for access issues; troubleshoot IAM-related technical issues; integrate IAM solutions with new systems.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in developing IAM policies and best practices; continuously improve workflows.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports on user access; document IAM processes and procedures.
  • Projects: Manage project work for upgrades and implementations; advise on IAM requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with IAM tools (SailPoint ISC, NERM, Microsoft Entra, AADDS, AADB2C), authentication technologies, RBAC, in-depth Certificate and PKI knowledge, script writing (PowerShell, Python).
  • Security Knowledge: Understanding of IT security principles, data protection regulations, best practices for managing sensitive information.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users.
