Job Description
We’re looking for a Policy Assistant to work on Sustainability and DEI – a great opportunity if you’re interested in working in policy and want to make a real difference. In this role, you’ll support important work on climate change and DEI, helping to bring people together across the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and making sure our members are well supported. You’ll work closely with a range of teams and networks, gaining hands-on experience in a busy and collaborative policy environment.

What’s the job?
- Support the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s work on sustainability and climate change, including the transition to a cleaner, greener economy.
- Help run member working groups on investment, climate change and DEI by organising meetings, preparing papers and keeping things on track.
- Work with colleagues across the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] to make sure this work links up with wider priorities on regulation, investment and long‑term savings.
- Research and build your knowledge of emerging sustainability and DEI issues, sharing insights with colleagues and members.
- Help communicate our work through briefings, newsletters, policy updates and events, including meeting external stakeholders.
- Provide day‑to‑day support to senior colleagues and play an active part in the wider Regulation Directorate team.
What skills do you need?
- Planning and organisation - plan, prioritise and deliver work across a wide range of issues and projects
- Communication – your written communication is of a high standard, and you can articulate arguments supported by robust evidence.
- Making the technical accessible – you can summarise complex information in a way that everyone can understand.
- Relationship building– you work proactively with others and can build good working relationships with members, stakeholders and colleagues.
- Curiosity – you might not have even thought of working in policy before, but you can research new topics.
