About The Role

[Employer hidden] is seeking a highly organised and committed Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated and welcoming team. This is a varied and rewarding role, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school through high-quality administrative, organisational and financial support. The role will also involve providing administrative support to the SENDCo, contributing to the effective coordination of provision for pupils with additional needs. As a key member of our front office, you will often be the first point of contact for pupils, families and visitors, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for our whole school community.

  • Provide high-level administrative, clerical and financial support, including managing complex procedures, records, and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee front-of-house operations and coordinate school activities such as trips, events, and visitor management.
  • Maintain and develop efficient systems, resources, and ICT processes, including stock control, website updates, and facilities administration.
  • Support staff and leadership through data analysis, communication with external agencies, and supervision or training where appropriate.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children by adhering to safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.

About You

  • Experience of developing and maintaining administrative systems and procedures.
  • High level of literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Evidence of the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Effective use of ICT packages and other specialist equipment/resources.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.
