Job Overview

We have a new opportunity for a Cloud Architect to join us. Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure Architecture Guild, you’ll provide strategic technical leadership and architectural direction to the Cloud Platform Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic direction and development of Cloud services in [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]
  • Responsibility for UK Cloud Target, Current and Transition architectures
  • Partnering with stakeholders in [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group to develop metrics on cloud adoption
  • Co-developing product technical roadmaps
  • Working across multi-disciplinary teams (Azure Platform Engineers, Enterprise Architects, DevSecOps Engineers)
  • Acting as highest technical escalation point in the domain
  • Encouraging innovation and risk mitigation
  • Providing technical mentoring and supporting team culture

Work Arrangements

Your Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on expertise on large-scale technical projects (distributed systems, agile platform engineering)
  • Experience designing and implementing Cloud Platforms in enterprise environments
  • Thorough understanding of Platform Engineering principles
  • Proven experience with Azure security models and enterprise integration patterns
  • Awareness of market trends in Insurance and IT industry
  • Ability to manage third party relationships
  • Experience building investment cases and planning multi-year roadmaps
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks, CI/CD, DevSecOps, SRE
  • Understanding of Financial Services markets desirable
