Job Overview
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic leader to drive our Mid-Market and Mid-Corp trading through our broker partners. Working within our Motor Trade Specialist Unit, this key role is responsible for leading the New Business team, managing broker relationships, developing compelling propositions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion, and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the New Business team to achieve financial targets.
- Manage and grow the existing broker portfolio.
- Collaborate with Underwriting and Operations managers to optimise performance.
- Lead development of strategic pitches and high-profile deals.
- Organise market events and campaigns.
- Foster a customer-centric culture.
- Oversee employee performance management and succession planning.
- Drive continuous improvement through process re-engineering.
Work Arrangements
At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] we work smart, empowering our people to balance time between home and the office. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future.
Your Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading and motivating teams in commercial insurance or financial services.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrable success in delivering growth targets and managing broker portfolios.
- Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Deep understanding of the broker market, underwriting, and risk management.
- Ability to lead change and drive process improvements.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and profitability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
