Job Description

About [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]:

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a global leader in insurance and financial services, dedicated to helping customers protect what matters most to them. As the sixth-largest insurance company in the world, we provide a wide range of services, including health, car, home, and business insurance. We support millions of customers worldwide, helping them navigate life's uncertainties with confidence.

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] supports members to put their health first, from individuals to huge corporates, with fast access to diagnosis and treatment when they need it.

Job Overview:

We're seeking someone who’s detail-oriented, quality-focused, and committed to customer outcomes—someone who can ensure health propositions are designed and delivered in line with standards, while proactively managing risks and supporting a customer-centric approach. You’ll be responsible for ensuring health propositions are designed, implemented and maintained in line with approved design, local and regulatory expectations, and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and operate proposition governance frameworks, ensuring all new and existing propositions meet internal and external approval, risk and assurance standards.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support successful and timely completion of approvals.
  • Stay informed of key regulatory changes and expert guidance, applying learnings to reviews and processes.
  • Manage governance forums, decision papers, proposition controls, audit trails for proposition changes, launches and material enhancements.
  • Provide assurance that propositions are implemented in line with approved design, customer value statements, pricing assumptions and operational models.
  • Validate that proposition features, exclusions, eligibility rules and journeys are consistently reflected across policy documentation, sales materials, systems and claims handling.
  • Ensure propositions meet regulatory expectations, including Consumer Duty, conduct risk and fair value considerations.
  • Lead monitoring and remediation activity where proposition performance or delivery deviates from intent.

Work Arrangements:

At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of using Product Governance Frameworks or in developing health insurance propositions or regulated financial services.
  • Deep understanding of Consumer Duty, conduct risk and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience assuring end to end product delivery, from design through to customer outcomes.
  • Pragmatic and balanced in approach with excellent ability to quantify and size risks and issues accurately.
  • Confident operating in complex, matrix environments with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong judgement and decision making in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication skills with good diligence and the ability to absorb high volumes of information and distil to pertinent facts.
  • Curious and comfortable to challenge until issues are resolved to a satisfactory standard.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
