Job Summary

As a Technology Product Manager for Finance at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will play a key role in owning the entire technology product solutions that support one of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s core value streams, Corporate Functions. You will act as the primary technology partner for Finance, translating business needs into actionable product roadmaps and driving the successful value delivery through incremental and transformational change. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and global technology teams to ensure that platforms and systems within Finance are reliable, well supported, and continuously improved. Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and execute the technology delivery strategy and roadmap for the Finance portfolio, aligned with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s modernisation and growth objectives.
  • Drive prioritisation of initiatives and investments in collaboration with business leaders and SMEs.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, upholding a user-centric approach.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather and relay feedback.
  • Champion innovation and emerging technologies.
  • Act as Agile Release Train Engineer to lead quarterly portfolio PI planning events.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives within the Finance portfolio.
  • Champion agile and DevSecOps practices.
  • Own backlog governance and prioritisation.
  • Foster strong partnerships with vendors and service providers.
  • Oversee Finance portfolio systems governance, availability, performance, and capacity.
  • Represent Finance portfolio systems during incident triage.

Person Specification - Essential Criteria

  • Proven product management experience in technology delivery within Finance for a Specialty Commercial Lines insurer, with deep understanding of premium accounting, expense allocations, chart of accounts, GL, AR, AP, multi-entity/multi-country, Tax, billing, collections, credit control.
  • Awareness and understanding of IFRS17, Solvency II, financial planning and analysis, reserving, deductibles, regulatory and statutory reporting.
  • Strong experience managing a complex portfolio with multiple suppliers and global teams.
  • Knowledge and experience in Workday, Agresso, Payment systems (e.g. FIS, Swift).
  • Expertise in Finance data modelling, data lineage, reconciliation, integrity, auditability, ETL mechanisms and API based integrations.

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of General ledger, sub-ledger, insurance-specific finance systems, reconciliation and reporting tools, planning and forecasting systems, expense management, workflow, billing and credit control.
  • Expertise in Agile delivery, ITIL service management, and digital transformation.
  • Ability to use evidence and value-based approach to prioritise the backlog.
  • Practical knowledge of software development process and high-level architecture.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Jira expertise.
