Job Summary

As a Technology Product Manager for the Workday Platform you will play a key role in owning the technology product solutions for one of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s core technology ecosystems that support one of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s core value streams, Corporate Functions. You will act as the primary technology partner for Workday, translating business needs and Workday feature releases into actionable product roadmaps and driving the successful value delivery through incremental and transformational change.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and execute the technology delivery strategy and roadmap for Workday, aligned with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s modernisation and growth objectives.
• Drive prioritisation of initiatives and investments in collaboration with business leaders and SMEs.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, upholding a user-centric approach.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and relay feedback.
• Champion innovation and emerging technologies, assessing impact and recommending adoption.
• Act as the Agile Release Train Engineer to lead quarterly portfolio PI planning events.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives within Workday, ensuring outcomes on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Champion agile and DevSecOps practices to accelerate delivery and enhance customer experience.
• Own backlog governance and prioritisation, enabling effective sprint planning.
• Foster strong partnerships with vendors and service providers.
• Oversee Workday platform governance, availability, performance, and capacity.
• Represent Workday platform during incident triage and major incidents.
• Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Workday platform through robust security measures.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, legal and compliance teams to maintain governance frameworks.
• Contribute to management of annual plans and budgets aligned to business strategies.
• Optimise cost efficiency across technology delivery, vendor contracts, and resource allocation.

Person Specification

• Proven product management experience in technology delivery within complex, regulated environments for Corporate Functions.
• Enterprise Platform knowledge and strong technical and data understanding of specialty insurers.
• Expert knowledge and proven experience across Workday HCM, Workday Finance, Workday Planning, and PRISM.
• Knowledge of Workday object/data model, Tenant Strategy, Release Cycle Management, configuration, customisation, Workday Extend, Security and Domain models.
• University degree or equivalent experience; certifications in Agile Leadership, Scrum Master, ITIL desirable.
• Strong experience managing complex portfolio with multiple suppliers and global teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage IT and non-IT projects delivering business value.
• Proven experience delivering IT change using mix of internal resources, third-party solutions, and outsourced services.
• Experience acting as voice of the customer through translating user needs into clear requirements.
• Experienced change manager able to implement process and IT changes while minimising risks.
• Expertise in Agile delivery, ITIL service management, and digital transformation.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Jira expertise.
