Job Details

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for hospitality-driven chefs to support kitchens across Derbyshire. Shifts vary between 7am and 7:30pm, typically 6-9 hours. Pay is £17.00 - £19.00 per hour, with enhanced rates for weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking fresh dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Confidently running your own section during service
  • Correct storage, rotation, and organisation of ingredients
  • Assisting with deliveries and maintaining an orderly kitchen
  • Upholding excellent hygiene and food safety standards
  • Communicating clearly with kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Supporting the wider team with a positive, can-do attitude

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a chef in a hospitality setting (cafés, coffee shops, restaurants, bistros, etc.)
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (within 3 years)
  • Chef whites and knives
  • Ability to travel to various Derbyshire locations between 7am and 7:30pm
  • Strong time management, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Happy to support with general cleaning and kitchen duties
