Job Description
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], a top 100 UK golf course based in the Highlands of Scotland, is seeking a dynamic, ambitious person to join our golf course team. The position is open to either a trainee/qualified greenkeeper or a person seeking an outdoor role in course maintenance.
Job Title: Seasonal Golf Course Labourer or Greenkeeper
Purpose of Job: To be part of the team who are responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our golf course.

Liaison: You will report to the Course Manager and the Assistant Course Manager.
Hours: 40 plus weekend work
Salary: Starting at £13.01 per hour then based on experience
Position availability: This is a seasonal position.
Main Job Scope
- Daily golf course maintenance including cutting rough, fairways, tees and greens (depending on experience)
- Bunker maintenance and preparing the course for play each day.
- Assist in agricultural practices such as fertilizing, topdressing, Verti cutting, rolling and aeration
- Participate in irrigation repairs, head levelling and hand watering
- Manual labour on construction and renovation projects
- General property maintenance including hand weeding of bunkers and flower beds.
- Housekeeping duties to ensure all areas on the golf course are maintained in a neat, organized and clean manner at all times.
- Basic maintenance and usage of tools and equipment to ensure they are kept and operated in a safe and orderly manner.
Required Candidate Attributes
- Presentable, polite and respectful (to both members and visitors).
- Approachable with good communication skills.
- Have a basic understanding of the sport of golf.
- Must be a pro-active thinker and be prepared to take some initiative.
- Physically fit and able to work in an outdoor environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
Considerations
- Hours of work may vary, and some weekend work will be required. Precise timings will be agreed with the successful candidate.
- Flexibility in working arrangements will be required particularly at a time of major competitions and events. Equally, personal flexibility will be considered in line with good employment practice.
