Your role at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]

As a Technical Lead, you will play a key role in delivering and strengthening [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verification programme. This role focuses on ensuring technical integrity, advancing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s Product Category Rules (PCR) and supporting the continued growth of our Sustainable Products offering.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertake technical review and verification of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
  • Represent [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] at ECO Platform and technical working groups, influencing standards and industry direction.
  • Contribute to the development of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s digital platforms (e.g. [Employer hidden] LINA, IMPACT) to strengthen our EPD Programme.
  • Support the development and maintenance of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s PCR and associated scheme documentation.
  • Ensure robust, credible outcomes in line with international standards.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to advocate for the use of EPD in sustainable construction practices.
  • Mentor and support colleagues to build capability and capacity within the team.

What we are looking for

  • Extensive experience in verifying Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) in line with international standards.
  • A solid understanding of ISO and CEN standards relevant to LCA in construction.
  • Proficiency in LCA modelling software and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of certification and verification schemes, and the needs of the construction sector.
  • Awareness of sustainability legislation and frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, science-based targets, and the SDGs.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and technical working groups.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to mentor colleagues and contribute to team development.

Work Location Options

Mostly Remote – This role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel to our head office in Watford for planned meetings (1-3 times per quarter).
