Why Join Us

At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we support children, young people and adults with complex disabilities to live their best lives. Our farm is a busy, working environment at the heart of that experience - not just a setting, but a place where people take part in real, purposeful activity. From feeding animals and maintaining habitats to getting involved in seasonal tasks, the farm offers opportunities to build confidence, develop skills and be part of something meaningful. As our Farm Activities Coordinator, you’ll help bring that experience to life every day - creating opportunities for people to connect with animals, take part, and achieve more than they thought possible.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and lead engaging sessions built around animal care, handling and farm routines
  • Adapt activities so they’re accessible, inclusive and meaningful for every participant
  • Support safe, positive interactions between people and animals
  • Be involved in the practical side of the farm — feeding, grooming and maintaining animal environments
  • Prepare spaces, equipment and resources so sessions run smoothly
  • Work closely with colleagues, therapists and families to deliver person-centred experiences
  • Capture what’s working well, tracking participation and progress to shape future sessions
  • Play a part in seasonal activities, events and the ongoing development of the farm

What We’re Looking For

You might come from a care, education, outdoor learning or farming background — what matters most is your approach. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience delivering or supporting activities for children, young people or adults
  • Is confident leading practical, hands-on sessions
  • Is comfortable working with animals and in an outdoor environment
  • Is organised, proactive and able to adapt when things change
  • Brings a calm, positive and person-centred approach
  • Builds strong relationships and works well as part of a team
  • Is confident using basic IT systems for planning and recording

Desirable: Experience with animal care, horticulture or land-based work

The Rewards Go Beyond Salary…

  • Generous annual leave (increasing with service)
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Retail and leisure discounts
  • Free onsite parking and facilities
  • We also cover the cost of DBS checks and renewals.
