Veterinary Referral Clinician - Anaesthesia

This part-time role involves providing expert anaesthesia and perioperative care in a multidisciplinary referral setting. MRCVS registration and anaesthesia specialization required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high standards of anaesthesia and perioperative care across a varied referral caseload
  • Working collaboratively with Surgery, ECC, Imaging, Internal Medicine and other services
  • Supporting the development of anaesthesia protocols and clinical standards
  • Providing guidance and support to colleagues within the wider clinical team
  • Contributing to a collaborative, open, and supportive team culture
  • Playing an active role in clinical governance and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • MRCVS registration (or eligibility)
  • Diplomate (ECVAA/ACVAA) or residency-trained in Veterinary Anaesthesia
  • Experience working within a referral or advanced clinical setting
  • Confidence managing anaesthesia for a range of complex procedures
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary hospital
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous development

Working Pattern & Benefits

Permanent, part-time: 3 days per week (10-hour days, 30 hours per week).
