About Blaise Veterinary Referral Centre
Blaise Veterinary Referral Centre is one of the UK’s largest purpose-built, multidisciplinary referral hospitals, located in Longbridge, Birmingham. As the first [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] referral hospital built from the ground up, Blaise has been designed with collaboration, sustainability, and clinical excellence at its core. The hospital spans over 36,000 sq ft and offers advanced imaging suite including 64-slice Siemens Go-All CT & 1.5T Siemens Magnetom Altea MRI, Fujifilm Visionary Suite, and Siemens Cios Alpha Fluoroscopy.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Referral Veterinary Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging across multiple modalities, supporting complex referral cases within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
- Performing high-quality diagnostic imaging across CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, radiography, and ultrasound
- Supporting the safe preparation and positioning of patients for imaging procedures
- Working collaboratively with clinicians and nurses to optimise case workflow and patient care
- Maintaining imaging equipment and suites to the highest standard
- Carrying out routine quality assurance checks and ensuring compliance with protocols
- Contributing to a positive, team-focused culture within the imaging department
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
- HCPC registration with a DCR or BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography
- Ideally experience within veterinary imaging (though not essential)
- Membership of the Society of Radiographers (desirable)
- A strong commitment to clinical excellence, professionalism, and ethical standards
- A patient-focused approach with high regard for animal welfare
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Working Pattern
Full-time or part-time opportunities available. Typically a 4-day week, working 8:00am – 6:00pm.
