Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] as a Dental Procedures Veterinary Nurse on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care while leading the development of dental services within the practice.

This is a dynamic role combining hands-on clinical work with service development, where you will take responsibility for delivering a gold standard dental offering. You will work closely with veterinary surgeons and the wider team to improve workflows, enhance patient care, and promote preventative dentistry.

You will lead nurse-led dental procedures, support a two-stage dental approach alongside veterinary surgeons, and play a key role in educating clients on dental health and home care.

This role averages 38 hours per week over 4 days, with shifts between 7:30am and 7:00pm. You will take part in a 1 in 6 full weekend rota (7:45am–6:00pm), a bank holiday rota (1–2 per year), and contribute to night cover and on-call duties (details discussed at interview).

General responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high standards of dental nursing care, including charting, scaling, polishing, and radiography
  • Support the development of dental protocols, workflows, and clinical standards
  • Collaborate with veterinary surgeons to coordinate advanced dental procedures
  • Educate clients on dental health, preventative care, and homecare routines
