About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] on a part-time basis.
We are a friendly, well-established small animal practice set in the stunning Aberdeenshire countryside. Our experienced team includes 3 senior vets, 4.7 FTE nurses, 3 VCAs, and 4 dedicated reception staff, all working together to provide high-quality patient care.
Our main practice in Laurencekirk is equipped with excellent facilities, including infusion pumps, patient warmers, multiparameter monitors, SpO₂ monitoring, digital dental and X-ray systems, as well as both rigid and flexible endoscopy. We also have blood pressure monitoring available in both consult and surgical settings.
The practice features two fully equipped theatres, a dedicated dental suite, ICU and isolation units, along with separate wards for cats and dogs, ensuring a calm and comfortable environment for all our patients.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week split over 2 days (Monday-Friday). There will be no weekends or out of hours duties. We are open to discussing different working patterns.

You Might Be a Great Fit If...
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
