Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], Fareham, South East | Salary up to £75,000 DOE | Welcome bonus up to £5,000 and relocation allowance up to £5,000

About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] has been a trusted part of the local community for over 10 years, known for its friendly atmosphere, loyal clients and strong relationships. We’re now looking for a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team. Set within a charming converted house, the practice offers well-equipped facilities including consult rooms, theatre and prep areas, separate cat and dog wards with isolation, a dedicated lab, X-ray suite and comfortable staff spaces. Caseload is primarily cats and dogs, with occasional rabbits, offering a good balance between consultations and surgery. You’ll be supported to work cases up thoroughly using digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, K-laser and an in-house IDEXX laboratory. With some sole charge involved, this role suits a vet who enjoys autonomy while having strong support and referral pathways when needed. You’ll join a dedicated team of one vet, four RVNs, two SVNs and a supportive client care team. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is the UK and Europe’s leading veterinary care group, made up of over 900 practices and referral hospitals.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.

  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
